Session III: at Cabrillo at 601 Crespi Drive 7/16 to 8/11, 2012This camp is for the young performer in your family! The children will explore Movement, Theatre, and Music in a fun and encouraging environment over the course of four weeks from 9am-12 noon. The children will be introduced to the performing arts by professional artists and will learn basics skills to show off in a final PRODUCTION! On-site before and after care is available 8am-9am & 12pm-6pm

We will also feature guest artists and special workshops. Our intensive schedule of classes is designed to educate and stimulate that aspiring young actor in your family. Our program will include….
ACTING: Your child will learn about emoting and communicating effectively on stage. Scene study and basic script analysis will be explored as well as improvisation in our annual and popular Theatre Olympics.
DANCE: Explore a wide range of styles, with an emphasis on Musical Theatre Presentational Dance.
VOICE AND MUSIC: Whatever your child’s range, he or she is bound to find a new level of skill. Show tunes (both ensemble and solo), and other styles of song will be studied, along with rhythm and harmony basics.
A BROADWAY SHOW EXPERIENCE: Finally, at the end of the four-week session, your child will perform in a Broadway Musical for friends and family to watch and enjoy! On-site before and after care is available 8am-9am & 3pm-6pm

Session 2: at Spindrift School, 1050 Crespi Drive 7/9 to 7/28, 2012This camp is for the dramatic ACTOR in your family! The camp will focus exclusively on acting techniques through improvisation character study, and script analysis. Actors will use those skills in preparation for a full play at the end of the production camp. Explore the dramatic process from beginning to end! Learn about the theater, and other aspects of production in a fun and encouraging environment. Show off your acting skills in a final production for friends and family to enjoy! .
TEEN TRAINING Ages 12-19, Mon-Thurs from 1-7, 4 weeks. Cost: $595
Teen Training Session at Oceana High School, 401 Paloma 7/9 to 8/5, 2012
An exclusive four-week intensive training experience for teens to explore and learn about acting, music, dance and the technical aspects of theatre. Students will produce a FULL MUSICAL at the end of the four weeks of training. Taught by professional artists, and featuring guest artists for special workshops, this full-day, four-week training is available to all teens. The final show will be cast by audition the first week of camp. There will be 1 preview and 4 performances.
CENTER STAGE DANCE CAMP (Ages 9—17) Space is Limited.
NEW this summer at SSPA! A full three week (5 days a week, 6 hours a day) Theatrical Dance Camp. This camp is suggested for those with at least 9 months of dance training/classes (training does not have to have been continuous and can have been any style).
This camp will focus on the dancer’s artistic expression by combining theater and dance. Over three weeks each performer will be honing their technique, brushing up on their dance history, and learning choreography with professional dancers. With a storyline that mirrors Across the Universe and set to a score of Beatles classics, this camp is for dancers of all skill levels and styles. Auditioning and casting for the show will be done over the first week.Single Session: June 18—July 7
Monday – Friday 1pm—7pm
(The first two Fridays will be held at Cabrillo School)
