In-Person Center Stage Dance Camp

Ages 12-19

Crucilbe Culture No Name

It starts innocently enough; a dance in the woods at night streamed over Instagram Stories. The revelers feel so free, knowing it will all disappear in 24hrs—but nothing really disappears anymore, now does it?

Jealousy? Check. Screenshot? Click. Canceled? Let the witch hunt begin . . .

Loosely based on Arthur Miller’s The Crucible, this summer’s Center Stage Dance Camp will explore both the merits and pitfalls of an ever-expanding cancel culture. Dancers will be guided through the creation of outdoor, site specific work, culminating in a theatrical dance experience that will be uniquely transportive. Center Stage Dance Camp is guided by Professional Artists and Educators who utilize theatricality and a variety of dance styles to bring this story to life with the ensemble of dancers.

The final performance of Crucible Culture will be dependent on health guidelines and may be in-person or filmed. This camp takes place entirely outdoors, with the exception of restroom and sink use. Please see our In-Person Camp FAQS and In-Person Camp Safety page for more information on Spindrift School safety.

2 years of dance experience or instructor approval required.
