Parent Information & Downloads



General Expectations:

 

  • Respect: Treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with kindness and professionalism. Bullying, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated.
  • Professionalism: Arrive on time, be prepared, and follow all instructions from instructors and staff.
  • Appropriate Language: No foul, inappropriate, or offensive language.
  • Personal Responsibility: Take care of personal belongings and respect class materials.
  • Zero-Tolerance for Physical Contact – Any physical contact that is aggressive, harmful, or inappropriate towards another student, teacher, or staff member is strictly forbidden and may result in immediate disciplinary 

Theater Etiquette:

  • Respect the Space: Do not touch props, costumes, or stage equipment without permission.
  • Backstage Behavior: Maintain silence offstage to avoid disrupting rehearsals and performances.
  • No Unauthorized Use of Equipment: Lighting, sound, and musical instruments may only be used under staff supervision.
  • Cell Phone Use: Phones must be silenced and stored away unless approved for educational purposes.

Studio and Performance Space Policies:

  • No Food or Drinks: Only water in a sealed container is allowed. No gum permitted.
  • Proper Attire: Wear appropriate class attire, including dancewear and closed-toe shoes when required.
  • Cleanliness: Clean up after yourself in classrooms, studios, dressing rooms, and common spaces.
  • Attendance: Regular attendance is required. Notify instructors in advance of absences.

Health and Wellness:

  • If a student shows signs of illness (coughing, fever, runny nose, fatigue), they must stay home.


Respect for Casting Decisions:

  • Casting is a thoughtful process. Students and families must respect decisions and approach them with maturity and professionalism.


Consequences for Policy Violations:

Violations may result in:

  1. A verbal warning from an instructor or staff member.
  2. A meeting with the student and their parent/guardian.
  3. Suspension from class or performances.
  4. Dismissal from the program for severe or repeated offenses.

By enrolling in SSPA, students and families agree to follow these policies, ensuring a positive and professional environment for all.

Parent Information: Full Information on the 2025 Spring Dance Recital.  Location, Times and everything else you need to know!

 

Dear Spindrift Dance Families,

We are thrilled to share details about our Spring 2025 dance recital, “Magical Circus”, happening on Saturday, May 24th at Terra Nova High School (1450 Terra Nova Blvd, Pacifica, CA 94044).

There will be two performances that day:

11:00 AM Show

3:30 PM Show

At this time, the show order is still being finalized. You will receive your child’s assigned show time later this month.

Below is the schedule for the day of the show. 

Show Time: 11:00Show Time: 3:30

8:30 am: Students dropped at the bottom of the Terra Nova Theater

9:00am: Dress rehearsal starts 

10:30am: House Opens

11:00am: Show starts

12:00: Show Ends

12:30pm: Students dropped at the TOP of the Terra Nova Theater

1:00am: Dress rehearsal starts 

3:00am: House Opens

3:30am: Show starts

4:30: Show Ends

The dress rehearsal is closed to parents, which means once your child enters the theater, parents will not be allowed inside, so please make sure their hair is done and they have everything they need before they go in. A Spindrift staff member will be at the front if you have any questions. Also, seats cannot be saved ahead of time for the recital. We will open the house 30 minutes before the show starts.

The basic uniform will be required for the show. To maintain modesty and easy changes, we kindly request that every dancer arrive in the basic uniform that we have selected. This uniform will be necessary for all dance styles. Additionally, please note that all dancers are required to have the proper shoe attire:

Hip Hop: Sneakers

Jazz: Tan or black jazz shoe

Ballet: Pink tights, ballet flats

Tap: Tap shoes

If you are unsure of what shoes your dancer needs please contact their teacher.
