 Classes are developed for specific age groups and  designed with social and development purposes in  mind. Our high-energy classes will expose the children to  the joy of movement, theatrical exploration and music,  while helping them develop basic motor skills, critical thinking skills, social/emotional intelligence, muscle strength, coordination and flexibility. Performers will  explore creative themes through the use of theatre. 

Recreational Performing Arts classes are for Beginning students through Advanced for ages 10-12. These classes are designed for  the performer and bring instruction and experience in the art of dance, music and theatre to their lives, for their enjoyment. They consist of developmental  classes that include progressive instruction in technique,  repertoire, flexibility and strength conditioning, theatre,  and performance skills. Students are moved through  the levels based on their development, technical ability, mental preparedness, dedication, maturity and  attendance. 

Although we seek to create exemplary well-rounded  performers, most importantly we aim to mold exceptional  individuals who are self-disciplined, self-motivated,  hardworking, honest individuals. 

Lifelong friendships are formed within our pre professional level performing classes. All of our  performers, no matter what level, perform together and  are a part of the SSPA family. The SSPA pre-professional  parents are also a driving force behind our program as  they are the main support for their child’s interests and  education in performing arts. 

SSPA offers several options for Adult classes throughout  our season . 

What separates these classes from other classes offered at  SSPA is not the quality of dance instruction, but rather the  age of students in the class. 

Our adult classes are reserved strictly for the more mature  student, which allows for easier socialization among  students, as well as a more relaxed atmosphere that helps  students progress at their own rate. We find this the best  way for students to enjoy class and get a great workout.
